Give it a descriptive name that identifies its purpose, such as <strong>Blog Sidebar<\/strong>, <strong>Shop Sidebar<\/strong> or <strong>Documentation Sidebar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once created, the Sidebar appears alongside your other widget areas. Add the blocks or widgets that should be displayed whenever that Sidebar becomes active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can create as many additional Sidebars as needed, with each one maintaining its own independent set of widgets and Display Conditions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Display Conditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each custom Sidebar can be assigned to specific areas of the website using Blocksy&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/creativethemes.com\/blocksy\/docs\/extensions\/conditions-module\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Conditional Module<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From <strong>Appearance \u2192 Widgets<\/strong>, select the settings icon next to the custom Sidebar to open its Display Conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conditions can target broad sections of the website or very specific content. For example, you can display a Sidebar on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>all blog posts or archives;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>specific pages, posts or Custom Post Types;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>categories, tags and other taxonomies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WooCommerce shop, product and taxonomy pages;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>individual pieces of content;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>other contexts supported by Blocksy&#8217;s Conditional Module.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Multiple conditions can be combined when a Sidebar should apply to more than one part of the website. For more advanced targeting, the Conditional Module&#8217;s <strong>Advanced Mode<\/strong> can also be used to create grouped AND\/OR condition logic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visitor Conditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Display Conditions can also take the visitor into account. This lets you show different Sidebar content according to supported visitor criteria, such as whether someone is logged in or logged out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, a members-only section could display account links and downloads to logged-in visitors while showing login or registration information to visitors who have not authenticated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Default Sidebar Fallback<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Custom Sidebars do not replace Blocksy&#8217;s Default Sidebar permanently. When no custom Sidebar matches the current page&#8217;s Display Conditions, Blocksy automatically falls back to the widgets assigned to the <strong>Default Sidebar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The same fallback applies if a custom Sidebar is removed. Any areas that previously matched that Sidebar will use the Default Sidebar until another matching custom Sidebar is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-palette-color-8-color has-palette-color-1-background-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"is-style-info coblocks-alert-paragraph wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sidebar layout still needs to be enabled<\/strong><br>Multiple Sidebars controls which widget area is used; it does not automatically enable a Sidebar layout.
