It can search across selected post types, display matching results as visitors type and provide an optional taxonomy filter for narrowing the search before it is submitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This makes it useful for dedicated search pages, sidebars, shop layouts, Content Blocks and other areas where you want search functionality outside of the website header.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-palette-color-8-color has-palette-color-1-background-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"is-style-info coblocks-alert-paragraph wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Blocksy Companion required<\/strong><br>The Advanced Search block becomes available after installing and activating <strong>Blocksy Companion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Getting Started<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open the WordPress block inserter and search for <strong>Advanced Search<\/strong>. A custom icon can also be used when you want the search control to better match the rest of your website&#8217;s visual style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Live Results<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enable <strong>Live Results<\/strong> to display matching content dynamically while the visitor types, allowing relevant destinations to be opened without first loading a separate search-results page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Live Results Images<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Display the featured image or product thumbnail alongside entries in the live-results panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Live Results Product Price<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When WooCommerce products are included in the search, enable this option to display their prices directly inside the live results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Live Results Product Status<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Display relevant WooCommerce product status information inside the live results, providing additional context about a product before the visitor opens it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Taxonomy Filter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enable the <strong>Taxonomy Filter<\/strong> to add a selector alongside the search field. Visitors can use it to restrict their query to a particular taxonomy term, such as a post category or product category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The available taxonomy depends on the content being searched. For WooCommerce searches, for example, the filter can be used to let customers search within a particular product category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Device Visibility<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Control whether the taxonomy filter is displayed on <strong>desktop<\/strong>, <strong>tablet<\/strong> and <strong>mobile<\/strong> devices independently. This makes it possible to simplify the search interface on smaller screens while retaining the additional filtering control elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Search Through Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Choose which post types should be included when a visitor performs a search. Depending on the content registered on your website, the available options can include posts, pages, WooCommerce products and Custom Post Types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Select only the content types relevant to the purpose of the search form.
