In this tutorial, we walk you through the Cart Reserved Timer module from Shop Extra – a powerful way to create urgency during the shopping process. ⏱️
This new module reserves cart items for a set period and displays a countdown timer that reminds customers to complete their purchase before time runs out. You can display the timer on the Cart page or inside the Mini Cart, keeping customers aware of their remaining time wherever they are on the site. With support for the dynamic {time} tag, you can show real-time countdowns or configure custom notification messages instead. Setup is straightforward: simply enable the module and configure your timer duration and display location in the Customiser under WooCommerce → General.
