Introducing Blocksy 2.0 + Black Friday Sale 🤩

Hello dear friends, today we are thrilled to announce two big news:

  1. Blocksy version 2.0 release
  2. Black Friday sale (spoiler alert – 50% off!)

First of all, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for staying and supporting us through this entire wonderful journey.

We started to work on Blocksy 2.0 based on all the feedback we received from the entire WordPress community, so be sure that this update contains a lot of awesome and great stuff.

With the new Blocksy 2.0 release, we have taken this even further, refining the experience from the ground up by focusing on clarity and introducing new features that our customers have asked for.

There are a lot of new features introduced in this version (see the changelog) but we will cover just a few of them here and later we will create separated video tutorials for all of them.

Performance

As you saw in the changelog this update brings a lot of new things on the table so most of you may ask themselves “how it will perform?” – well, we want to let you know that all of the new features where built with this concern in mind.

We never load a line of JavaScript when it is not needed and same with CSS.

All of the PHP code was carefully structured in separated modules so nothing loads unless you really need it.

We know that sometimes the Customizer may grow in size with repeated values – so when you update to version 2.0 the system will clean all the obsolete values from your database and also ensure that things will stay clean going forward.

When comparing version 1+ with version 2.0 – we saw a really big speed boost in basically all of the metrics (backend and frontend).

Dynamic data & advanced posts

We all know how everyone loves the Blocksy posts shortcode but with this release we wanted to take it to a new level so we introduced a native Gutenberg block called “Advanced Posts”.

With it’s help plus the new “Dynamic Data” block you can create stunning looking posts in no minutes.

You can see all this in action in our new starter site – Daily News.

We have big plans for Gutenberg in the future and we feel like these blocks have big feature too. We plan to also add full WooCommerce support to it.

New WooCommerce features

Building a modern, feature-rich e-Commerce website is now just a few clicks away, with powerful features that increase customer retention and conversion.

We’ve integrated in version 2.0 a lot of new extensions that will help you bring your shop to the next level with features like:

  • Variation swatches
  • Filters
  • Compare products
  • Size guides
  • Custom thank you pages
  • Custom tabs
  • Free shipping progress bar
  • Advanced reviews
  • Product brands
  • And just other small features that you will discover while working with version 2.0 🙂

No more convoluted plugins to install and manage, as everything can be done from one single place.

Dark mode & enhanced color palettes

We revised entirely the color system in Blocksy and now you will have even more control over your designs and customizations.

With just a click you can declare/register a new color from one single place and apply it to any element on the site. These new colors will have their own dedicated CSS variables (devs we covered you here) and you can apply them in any tool that have such functionality.

This new and enhanced colors are a good companion to our new extension “Color Mode Switch” aka dark mode. With it’s help you can register separated colors and apply them to your site making sure it look awesome in dark mode.

And many more…

Just take it for a spin, explore the changelog and see by yourself the new capabilities of version 2.0.

We are more than sure you will like it 😎

New prices

We know that you will probably be reading this with a mix of emotions, but we are here to clear up any doubts you may have over the new pricing model.

  1. Looking forward to testing the new Blocksy, especially the filters and variation swatches for Woo. I use plug ins for these currently, and find them very slow on the current site, as well as adding products to cart with lots of variations is also slow. Hopefully these get a speed boost then. I’ll feedback to you.
Keep up the good work and keep pushing the boundaries.

    • Thank you 🙂

I don’t think WordPress will remove the customizer.
There are too many themes that rely on this functionality.

  2. Too bad I’ve rushed on Lifetime Perso. A Pro plan with all features could have been more relevant for my future needs… A little frustrating.

  3. Thank you, Creative Themes team, for all the hard work! I’ve relied heavily on the Blocksy Posts shortcode for countless sites, so I’m extremely excited to see the new Advanced Posts block!

  4. New starter sites look good! Will you continue to use Greenshift instead of Stackable from now on? Also, love Fluent Forms instead of WPForms being used!
