Most websites use the same header throughout the entire site, keeping important navigation and branding consistently available. However, some pages may benefit from a different header – for example, a simplified landing page, a distraction-free checkout experience, or a dedicated design for a particular section of the website.
With Blocksy Pro’s Conditional Headers, you can create multiple header configurations, customise each one independently, and decide exactly where they should appear using Blocksy’s Conditional Module.
Getting Started
To create an additional header:
- Open the WordPress Customiser.
- Navigate to Header → Headers.
- Click Create New Header.
- Enter a name for the new header.
- Optionally, copy the structure and elements from an existing header to use as your starting point.
The new header will appear inside the Headers tab. Select it to begin configuring its rows, elements, behaviour and design independently from your other headers.
Assigning Display Conditions
Each additional header can use Display Conditions to determine where it replaces the Global Header.
Conditions can target broad sections of the website or very specific situations, including:
- Individual pages or posts.
- Entire post types or archives.
- Categories, tags and other taxonomies.
- WooCommerce products and archives.
- User roles or login states.
- Date and time conditions.
- Request information such as the referring URL.
More complex targeting can be created by combining multiple rules through the Conditional Module’s advanced condition logic.

Global Header
The Global Header always remains the default fallback header for the website. It cannot be deleted completely or assigned its own display conditions.
How the fallback works
Conditional Headers override the Global Header only when their assigned conditions are matched. Everywhere else, Blocksy continues to display the Global Header automatically.
This ensures that the website always has a valid header configuration, even when none of the additional Conditional Headers apply to the current page.
