Identifying Content Blocks

Identifying Content Blocks in action.

When working on the front end of your site, it can sometimes be tricky to tell exactly which parts of the page are coming from Content Blocks. Because Content Blocks are designed to blend seamlessly with your content, tracking them down for editing isn’t always obvious.

To make this easier, Blocksy includes a built-in identification system. This feature highlights any Content Blocks being used on the current page, shows you where they are embedded, and even gives you direct shortcuts for editing them.

There’s nothing to activate or configure – the system works automatically. You’ll only ever see the Content Blocks that are actually in use on the page you’re viewing, keeping everything clear and clutter-free.

To get started, open the Content Blocks option in the WordPress admin toolbar while viewing the front end. You’ll see a list of all Content Blocks, Pop-ups, and singular or archive templates currently applied.

From here, you can:

  • Jump straight into editing any Content Block with a single click – it opens directly in the editor, ready for changes.
  • Locate a Content Block on the page using the small “view” icon (where available), which takes you directly to the section where it has been embedded.

This makes identifying and managing your Content Blocks effortless, so you can focus on fine-tuning the design instead of searching for the right element.
