Content Blocks are designed to integrate seamlessly with the rest of your website, which can sometimes make it difficult to identify exactly which block is responsible for a particular section of the page.
Blocksy includes a built-in identification system that solves this by listing the Content Blocks currently active on the page and providing direct shortcuts for locating or editing them.
There is nothing to activate or configure. The identification system is available automatically when you view the front end of your website while logged in with the appropriate WordPress permissions.
Getting Started
To see which Content Blocks are active on the current page:
- Visit the front end of your website while logged in to WordPress.
- Locate Content Blocks in the WordPress admin toolbar.
- Open the menu to see the Content Blocks currently being used on that page.
The menu can include active Hooks, Pop-ups, custom single or archive templates and other supported Content Block instances associated with the current page.
Granular Controls
Edit a Content Block
Select any Content Block from the toolbar menu to open it directly in the WordPress editor. This provides a quick way to make changes without first navigating back to Blocksy → Content Blocks and searching for the correct entry manually.
Locate a Content Block
For Content Blocks that can be identified directly within the rendered page, Blocksy provides a Lookup control. Selecting it takes you to the relevant section and highlights the Content Block so you can immediately see where it is being used.
This is particularly useful on pages that contain several Content Blocks or complex layouts where the source of a particular section is not immediately obvious.
