The Content Block block lets you insert an existing Blocksy Content Block directly inside the WordPress block editor.
This makes it possible to reuse the same independently managed layout across posts, pages, templates and other block-based areas without recreating its content each time.
Blocksy Pro required
The Content Block block requires Blocksy Companion Pro and the Content Blocks functionality to be available.
Getting Started
Before inserting the block, create the Content Block that you want to reuse:
- Navigate to WordPress Dashboard → Blocksy → Content Blocks.
- Create and publish the Content Block that contains your reusable layout.
- Edit the post, page or other block-based layout where you want to display it.
- Open the block inserter and add the Content Block block.
- Select the Content Block that should be rendered in that location.
The selected Content Block is then rendered as part of the surrounding layout.
Reusing Content
The inserted block references the original Content Block rather than creating a separate copy of its contents. If you later edit the original Content Block, those changes are reflected everywhere that Content Block is being used.
This is useful for sections that need to remain consistent across multiple locations, such as promotional areas, calls to action, reusable information panels or more complex layouts maintained from a single place.
Edit the original Content Block
To change the contents of an inserted Content Block, edit the original entry under Blocksy → Content Blocks. The Content Block block itself is primarily responsible for selecting and displaying that reusable content.
