The Newsletter block lets you place a subscription form directly inside layouts created with the WordPress block editor. It connects to Blocksy’s Newsletter Subscribe extension and sends new subscriptions to the configured email marketing provider.
The block can be inserted into posts, pages, Custom Post Types, Content Blocks and other areas where the WordPress block editor is available, with independent controls for the target list, form layout and fields.
Newsletter Subscribe required
Before using the Newsletter block, enable and configure the Newsletter Subscribe extension under WordPress Dashboard → Blocksy → Extensions. The providers available to the block depend on the extension and your Blocksy plan.
Getting Started
Once the Newsletter Subscribe extension has been configured:
- Open the post, page or other layout where you want to display the subscription form.
- Open the WordPress block inserter and search for Newsletter.
- Add the block to your layout.
- Use the block settings to choose the destination list and configure the form’s fields and presentation.
The provider connection itself remains managed by the Newsletter Subscribe extension, while each Newsletter block can have its own form configuration.
Granular Controls
List Source
Choose the provider list or audience that should receive subscriptions submitted through this particular form.
This is especially useful when your provider contains multiple lists, since different Newsletter blocks can send subscribers to different destinations without changing the extension’s global provider configuration.
Form Style
Choose how the form fields and subscription button are arranged:
- Inline – places the form elements alongside one another when sufficient horizontal space is available.
- Stacked – places the form elements one underneath another.
Field Height & Spacing
Adjust the height of the form fields and the spacing between individual elements to better match the surrounding layout.
Name Field
Enable the Name field when you want to collect a subscriber’s name in addition to their email address and the selected newsletter provider supports that information.
The field’s placeholder can be customised independently to match the wording used by the rest of the form.
